Glyncoch Community Centre

Client: Encon Construction
Value: £27,000
Product(s): Arched aluminium windows and aluminium doors

Contracted by Encon Construction for Glyncoch Community Regeneration Ltd, Nolan has helped transform a local community centre into a multi-purpose building that is now an active hub for the residents of Glyncoch. Our services included the manufacture and installation of aluminium arched windows and aluminium doors.

The modern community hall features a conference suite for local businesses and community groups, an IT centre to host workshops, and facilities for young people – from computer games to cheerleading classes.

The new community centre showcases new aluminium arched windows and aluminium doors, and is a massive improvement on the old building, which was cramped and dilapidated.

Existing equipment was utilised from the former building and volunteers from the nearby school got together to help paint the inside of the centre.

Commenting on the new community centre, Louisa Addiscott, who led the campaign to raise funds to build the new centre, said: “The combined benefits of redeveloping the centre and using it to provide a springboard for jobs and learning opportunities is helping to reverse the cycle of deprivation in the area. The new centre looks great and provides the residents of Glyncoch with vital services and a real sense of community.”
